[Infostock Daily=Reporter Park Sang-in] Hyundai Motor Group, LG and the Korean government will hold an agreement ceremony on the 'battery lease joint project,' which has been postponed due to the Kona EV fire.

According to a document exclusively obtained by Infostock Daily on the 9th, trios will announce measures to revitalize eco-friendly cars and hold an MOU signing ceremony for the battery lease project at Namyang Research Institute in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, on the 18th.

On the same day, it was confirmed that the Korean government will announce measures to revitalize eco-friendly cars at the ceremony. Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Sung Yun-mo, Minister of Environment Han Jung-ae, and Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Byun Chang-heum are expected to attend the ceremony.

During the meeting, Minister Sung Yun-mo will announce the fourth basic plan for eco-friendly cars, and Minister Han Jung-ae will share a distribution plan for eco-friendly cars. After reporting on measures to revitalize the government, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun and others will hold a business agreement ceremony on the battery lease business.

Lee Hyung-ryul, CEO of KST Mobility, will explain about the battery lease business. President Gong Myung-woon, President Chung Jae-hoon and President Park Jung-kook will attend the meeting awith Chairman Chung from Hyundai Motor Group. 

Kim Jong-hyun, president of LG Energy Solutions, and Kim Jung-hoon, president of Hyundai Glovis, will attend the meeting. After the MOU signing ceremony, major technologies such as electric vehicle platform (E-GMP), ultra-fast charger, and PE parts will be showcased.
