[Infostock Daily=Reporter Lee Ji-sun] Google, a global IT company, has been breaking its practices in Korea, such as notifying an apology in English only from its official Twitter account in the event of service failures such as server malfunctions.
According to the Ministry of Science and ICT and Google Korea on the 28th, Google has finally decided to use Korean, not English, in the event of a service failure. This was confirmed to be the first case of no origin in the world.
It has been confirmed that the timing of implementation will be immediately applied to future service failures. "I think Google has been forced to respond to the Korean government's persistent demand for revision," said an official familiar with the negotiations between the Ministry of Science and ICT and Google.
"Google has decided to apply the accident notification service requested by the Korean government sequentially through technology development, and this is the first time in the world.".
The accident situation notification service, which the government additionally requested to Google, is a way to separate the information from the service mail where the failure service occurred.
Currently, if a service failure occurs on either side, such as Google or YouTube, it is designed to notify the service situation in both Google Mail and YouTube mail. Earlier, Google's service failures occurred three times last year alone.
