[Infostock Daily=Reporter Lee Ji-sun] Chung Eui-sun, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, reportedly bought an apartment in Manhattan, New York, in October 2019, a year and three months ago.
According to industry sources on the 14th, Chung bought a condo in 15 Hudson Yards in Manhattan, New York, for $ 4,974,190 (about 6 billion won exchange rate at the time) in October 2019.
He reportedly purchased it under Chung's personal name after consulting law firms in Seoul and New York. The Fifteen Hudson Yard is a new 88-story building completed in March 2019, consisting of 285 condominiums (apartments) and commercial facilities, with a size of 1,780 square feet (about 165 square meters) with two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
It is located next to the honeycomb-shaped building 'Vessle,' which is considered a new tourist attraction in New York, and is known as a high-end apartment with a view of the Hudson River and Midtown downtown.
Hyundai Motor did not confirm whether Chairman Chung bought an apartment, but the buyer's English name and signature on the real estate registration document coincide with Chairman Chung.
