[Infostock Daily= Reporter Park Hyo-sun] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 26th that it will enter the digital asset market through strategic investment of KOrea Digital Asset(KODA), a digital asset management company. Digital assets refer to assets that have liquidated the rights or ownership of traditional financial assets(bonds, fixed deposits, beneficiary securities, etc.) using digital technology.
KODA is a digital asset management company established by Haechi Labs, Hashed and KB Kookmin Bank.
"We invested after seeing the growth potential of related markets as the scope of digital assets such as virtual assets, game items, digital sneakers, art works, real estate revenue securities, and central bank digital currency(CBDC) has expanded and services become visible," KB Kookmin Bank explained.
In the long run, the digitalization of tangible and intangible assets is expected to create financial needs in various areas, including safe storage, transactions and investment of these assets.
"By creating an ecosystem of the digital asset market, we will discover innovative services with market participants and create growth opportunities together," the company said.
It is a strategy to grow KODA into a bank in the digital asset market through experiments of various business models.
