[Infostock Daily= Reporter An Hoe Hyun] The U.S. International Trade Commission(ITC) court rejected SK Innovation's request to conduct a forensic analysis because LG Chem has taken out its data without permission.
SK Innovation has claimed that it took out internal information acquired by LG Chem without permission during a forensic investigation conducted at its headquarters in SK Seorin Building in July. SK Innovation applied to the ITC earlier this month to conduct forensics on the LG Chem, saying, "An LG Chem official tried to export its data to the USB without permission. It is feared that important technical information may have been leaked."
The ITC court rejected SK Innovation's request as of July 17. Although there were no specific reasons for the decision released on the same day, it is interpreted that LG Chem did not recognize SK Innovation's claim that LG Chem took out SK Innovation's data without permission or judged that there is no need to conduct forensics.
