Korea Internet Business Association Chairman Han Sung-sook, CEO of Naver, said at "the inaugural meeting and non-face-to-face forum of the National Assembly ICT Convergence Forum"held online on the 28th, "We ask for many activities to remove old regulations that hinder the revitalization of the industry in the contact era and improve the system for the emergence of new and diverse technologies.". The National Assembly's ICT Convergence Forum is a bipartisan research group co-chaired by Byun Jae-il of the Democratic Party of Korea and Cho Myoung-hee of the People's Power, and named by a total of 36 lawmakers from the ruling and opposition parties (12 regular members and 24 associate members).
"Overseas global companies are extensively encroaching the domestic market in various fields such as app markets and video contents," Chairman Han said in a video congratulatory speech. "We hope to pave the way for the growth of domestic companies and revitalizing start-ups at the National Assembly ICT Convergence Forum.".
