[Infostock Daily= Reporter Park Sang-In] Seegene announced on the 28th that it has entered the global public procurement market with the Covid-19 diagnostic kit.
Seegene recently signed a LTA(Long Term Agreement) with UNICEF under the UN for the Covid-19 diagnostic kit. The long-term supply contract will provide 'Allflex 2019 nCoV Assay', a real-time PCR-based Covid-19 diagnostic kit approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration(FDA) in April, through UNICEF for up to two years.
This contract is highly scalable not only for UNICEF, the ordering body, but also for other UN agencies such as the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) and the United Nations Office for Project Services(UNOPS).
Previously, in April this year, Seegene participated in the 'Overseas Procurement Bidding Support Project' organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Public Procurement Service. The contract was concluded by evaluating the company's technology and stability and consulting with the KAIST Global Public Procurement Research Center, a research institute specializing in overseas public procurement.
