"Hyosung Chemical is a place where Hyosung’s chemical business was divided into people from June 1, 2018," the company said, adding "It produces PP used as high-functional pipe raw materials to replace PVC pipes and TPA used as raw materials for high-functional polyester fibers."
"The demand for industrial pipes in North America and Europe decreased due to the new coronavirus infection(COVID-19) in the first half of the year, and especially the demand for premium products decreased, leading to a decline in overall sales prices," the company said, adding, "But since the normalization of the economy in North America and Europe is fast and sales volume is recovering slightly in China, earnings improvement will be seen from the second half."
