[Infostock Daily= Reporter An Hoe Hyun] KT announced on the 21st that it will start the 'TAZO', a shared bicycle service in Suwon City, with Omnisystem.

TAZO shared bicycles can be used at 60 major locations such as subway stations, bus terminals and parks in Suwon City.

KT and Omnisystem plan to deploy 1,000 bicycles for TAZO service this month and expand it to 3,000 by early next year.

KT and Omnisystem applied IoT based on wireless communication and GPS to the TAZO operation platform so that anyone in Suwon City can easily use shared bicycles.

"KT will continue to make efforts to lead the innovation of shared bicycle services by other local governments, starting with Suwon City," said Kim Jun-keun, managing director of KT Incubation.
