[Infostock Daily= Reporter Park Sang-In] Sejong University announced on the 16th that "Sejong University Artificial Intelligence Convergence Research Center has signed an agreement with KTSC for business alliance at the Research Center of the Academic Information Service."
Sejong University and KTSC(Korea Tourist Supply Center) will △use artificial intelligence to establish high-quality food material information, logistics information sharing and technical cooperation system in response to COVID-19, △create high value-added food industry suitable for the region using big data, △support industry-academia research and development of big data and human resources development activities, △operate industry-academia cooperation programs such as big data seminars, special lectures, workshops, and △agreed to cooperate with each other on big data policies and technology development.
KTSC was established in 1978 and is a food distribution company that supplies 2,000 kinds of excellent food materials to restaurants such as hotels and franchises nationwide.
Currently, it supplies meat, aquatic products, food, meat processing products, vegetables, and fruits. Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, Incheon, Wonju and Jeju Island have branch offices and logistics warehouses, and sales of 200 billion won in 2019.
KTSC CEO Lee Jong-gil said, "We will provide food ingredients to the people who are struggling with COVID-19 at a reasonable price to help our customers. We will work with Sejong University Artificial Intelligence Convergence Research Center, which has created many success stories, to supply fresh and safe food to the right place," adding, "As the best food material company in Korea, We will repay it with healthy food supply."
Yoo Sung-jun, head of the Center for Artificial Intelligence Convergence Research at Sejong University, said, "We are very pleased to have an MOU with KTSC. We will use artificial intelligence and big data to find various ways to cooperate and develop each other."
