[Infostock Daily=Reporter Park Jeong-Do] Hankook Tire & Technology announced on the 14th that it will carry out a collaborative project to jointly develop a road risk detection solution that will preemptively respond to road risk factors by identifying road conditions with SK Planet and artificial intelligence and deep learning technology.
The road risk detection solution analyzes road surface noise acquired from a driving vehicle with artificial intelligence and deep learning technology to determine the road surface condition, and confirms the occurrence of dangerous factors on the road such as rainfall, snowfall, road ice (black ice), and accident, so that it can respond preemptively such as snow removal and salt water injection.
In order for the system to work accurately, artificial intelligence must learn as much noise data as possible during driving for each road surface state. Hankook Tire will provide environmental noise data to SK Planet in this process, and will contribute to the improvement of technology accuracy through data collection using its own tire performance test site such as Geumsan in Chungnam and Finnish barbers.
