[Infostock Daily= Reporter An Hoe Hyun] Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction announced on the 10th that it signed an agreement(MOU) with Korea National Oil Corporation on 'Mutual Cooperation for Establishment of Korean-type Supply System for East Sea 1 Floating Offshore Wind Power Project'.

Through this agreement, Korea National Oil Corporation plans to develop a power generation complex by sharing business plans and licensing matters for rapid commercialization, and Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction will be responsible for the production of floating offshore wind turbine generators.

According to the government's 'Offshore Wind Power Generation Plan' announced in July, the floating offshore wind power plant of about 6GW will be gradually started in Ulsan and Southeastern regions from 2023.

Globally, floating offshore wind power is expected to increase from 100MW to 19GW by 2030. In line with this trend, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction plans to expand its investment in R & D and production facilities with plans to nurture offshore wind power projects with annual sales of more than KRW 1 trillion in 2025.
