[Infostock Daily=Reporter Park Jeong-Do] [Infostock Daily=Reporter Park Jeong-Do] The Hangul and Computer Group will acquire Inspace, a space and drone specialist, which will expand its business into drones and aerospace.

According to the Hancom Group on September 9, Inspace is a company established by Choi Myung-jin, a former member of Korea Aerospace Research Institute, in 2012, and is showing a strong presence in the field of aerospace satellite ground station. It has shown high technology in the construction and operation of satellite ground stations and satellite and drone image analysis based on artificial intelligence (AI).

Since last year, we have developed a drone automation system 'Dronset' that integrates technologies such as drone automatic landing, wireless charging, multiple operation, communication data collection, control and analysis, and expanded the business area to drone software.

Droneset includes object detection, classification, and reading modules that incorporate AI technology, so it is expected that there will be many practical applications such as various accident, disaster detection, traffic volume and crime detection.

Based on Inspace's drone set technology, Hancom Group plans to build an 'intelligent drone service platform' by fusing various element technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), autonomous driving, and blockchain, and contribute to the implementation of smart cities by local governments and governments.

Inspace will link the unmanned drone safety net technology developed through the Smart City Challenge project of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs with the fire safety platform under development by Hancom Life Care.

In addition, we will establish a omnidirectional system for commercializing drone services, such as Hancom Academy's drone mission training project, Hancom MDS' drone charging and load business, Hancom Intelligence's drone certification project, and active participation in drone regulatory sandboxes.

Hancom and Inspace will also expand cooperation in satellite utilization services such as the development of the lunar exploration ground station.
