[Infostock Daily= Reporter An Hoe Hyun] NCsoft(CEO Kim Taek-jin, NC) announced on the 13th that it recorded 538.6 billion won in sales, 209 billion won in operating profit and 158.4 billion won in net profit in the second quarter of this year.
Sales and operating profit increased 31% and 61% respectively, compared to the same period last year, while net profit increased 36%. Compared to previous quarter, sales and operating profit decreased 26% and 13%, respectively.
Sales by region are 427.6 billion won in South Korea, 24.1 billion won in North America/Europe, 15.1 billion won in Japan and 9.5 billion won in Taiwan. Loyalty sales amount to 62.3 billion won.
By product, sales of mobile games reached 357.1 billion won. The figure is 159.9 billion won for Lineage M and 197.3 billion won for Lineage 2M. Sales of PC online games include 34.3 billion won for Lineage, 25.8 billion won for Lineage 2, 8.2 billion won for Aion, 19.8 billion won for Blade and Soul and 15.6 billion won for Guild Wars 2.
Guild Wars 2 recorded a 25% increase in sales compared to the previous quarter due to an increase in the number of game users and average usage time on average. Sales of Lineage 2 increased by 21% compared to same period last year.
