[Infostock Daily=Reporter Park Jeong-Do] Unisem, a semiconductor and display equipment company, announced on the 13th that it recorded consolidated sales of 56.4 billion won and operating profit of 9.8 billion won in the second quarter of this year. This is an increase of 50.1% and 204.9%, respectively.
Unisem is a company specializing in scrubber, which treats harmful gas generated in semiconductor and display production process, and temperature control equipment chiller. Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, LG Display and other semiconductor and display companies are supplying equipment.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics announced plans to invest in the ultra-ultraviolet (EUV) foundry production line in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province in May, and also announced plans to expand the production line of Pyeongtaek NAND flash in June. The industry estimates that it will be around 10 trillion won and 8 trillion won, respectively.
