[Infostock Daily = Reporter Kim Jong Hyo] Hugel announced on the 11th that it recorded sales of 48.27834 trillion won, operating profit of 16.7881 billion won, and net profit of 15.12038 billion won in the second quarter of 2020.
Operating profit increased 4.6% year-on-year, and operating profit ratio increased to 34.6%. Sales fell slightly 4% in the wake of the spread of new coronavirus infections(COVID-19) in major overseas markets such as Europe and Latin America, but its flagship botulinum toxin and HA filler businesses grew 10.7% year-on-year.
As domestic market demand is on a recovery track, it has driven the growth of its flagship botulinum toxin and HA filler. First, domestic sales of botulinum toxin increased 34.7% year-on-year to 198 billion won. Following Korea, it also did well in Asian markets.
Sales in Asian markets rose slightly(2%) as the market share in Thailand and Japan gradually expanded. HA filler is also in positive territory. Sales in the domestic market jumped 35% year-on-year, and overall domestic and overseas sales showed a upward trend.
