[Infostock Daily= Reporter Park Sang-In] SK Gas announced on the 6th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) with the National Institute of Ecology to preserve ecosystems and create social values.
The two companies agreed to sign a ceremony at SK headquarters in Seongnam city, Gyeonggi Province, and decided to actively protect endangered animals and plants due to climate change and environmental pollution.
SK Gas will jointly support the 'Citizen Scientist' activity, the National Institute of Ecology's Citizen Volunteer Group, campaign to protect extinct animal and plant habitats, and publish and distribute related books.
This year, it will start its activities in Ulsan, where SK Gas base is located. It plans to publish ecosystem protection culture book that includes the management of the habitat of the natural monument No.328 flying squirrels in the upper reaches of the Taehwa River in Ulsan, the preservation of the Taehwa River ecology, and the information on endangered species in Ulsan area.
