[Infostock Daily= Reporter Park Sang-In] LG U+ announced on the 6th that it has signed a business agreement(MOU) with Unmanned Solution, a company specializing in autonomous mobile robot, on autonomous mobile robot business.
The cooperation will combine industrial solutions and communication technologies such as LG U+'s image analysis solution and gas sensing Internet of Things(IoT) sensors with the autonomous mobile robots owned by Unmanned Solutions. Through this, it aims to commercialize outdoor autonomous mobile service robots that can be used for various purposes such as patrol, logistics, and prevention.
The two companies will introduce autonomous mobile patrol robots that patrol factory sites unmanned 24 hours a day as the first robots. The company plans to carry out the demonstration of autonomous mobile patrol robots for large plant companies in the year and to commercialize them next year.
The robot is equipped with a thermal camera and a harmful gas detection IoT sensor to patrol the entire 24-hour factory autonomously. Detecting the risk of abnormal temperature and harmful gas of the facility immediately delivers real-time images and alarms to the integrated control center to help efficiently manage the factory site.
