[Infostock Daily = Reporter Kim Jong Hyo] ATsemicon announced on the 31st that the third plant, which is being expanded to Jincheon plant in Chungbuk Province, will be completed on August 7th.
Jincheon's third plant is planning a mid- to long-term project to expand production capacity of semiconductor packaging(PKG) and actively respond to new product orders from customers. If the new plant is fully operational, the production capacity will increase significantly and production of high value-added products will be possible, which will greatly improve the appearance and profitability.
In addition, ATsemicon invests 10.2 billion won to build semiconductor packaging and test new facilities. It is a strategy to actively respond to the growth of the global semiconductor market by greatly increasing production capacity.
