Hyundai E & C will introduce a non-face-to-face thermal image and facial recognition access management system to the construction site for the first time in Korea.
The pilot site is the entrance to the Cupang Logistics Center, which is an innovation site, and plans to spread it to the entire site after verifying the effect.
Hyundai E & C announced on the 9th that it expects to prevent safety accidents and increase work productivity by detecting workers' health abnormalities in advance.
The access management system introduced by Hyundai E & C is an artificial intelligence facial recognition system with a thermal sensor function. It can quickly check work information such as health status and access history of workers even when wearing a mask.
The system not only measures body temperature but also detects whether the mask is properly worn, so that access is restricted or separate measures can be taken, which helps to create a proper mask wearing culture.
Hyundai E & C will add thermal image and facial recognition access management functions to Hyundai E & C's HIoS(Hyundai IoT Safety System), a comprehensive platform for on-site safety management based on IoT(Internet of Things).
HIoS is the first safety management platform developed in the construction industry. So far, it has six kinds of technologies such as location of workers, equipment stenosis prevention, torque lane collision prevention, gas concentration detection, wind speed detection and soil wall collapse prevention.
In addition, if the thermal image and facial recognition access management function is linked to the platform, more advanced on-site safety management will be possible.
